Bosnia- A Complicated History

Lesson Development: We've developed lesson plans tailored to educate students about the Bosnian genocide, designed to suit classrooms from sixth to twelfth grade. These lessons received funding support from the California Teachers Collaborative for Holocaust Education and the California State Department of Education. We're thrilled to announce the addition of these lessons to our website, extending our resources for educators.

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH) and Croatia

Tosha, Hilary, and Sharla embarked on a two-week exploration through Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia to delve into the history of the Bosnian genocide. To our surprise, we discovered that the only recognized genocide in the region was centered around Srebrenica. Yet, as we traversed the area, we encountered a complex mosaic of geography and people, highlighting the enduring challenges of division. Some still resist accepting the outcomes of the Dayton Accords, underscoring the ongoing complexities.
