Visitor information is gathered from our web site in the following processes:

• Data from customers in the web store.
• Aggregated tracking information derived mainly by tallying page views.
• Site visitors completing our Contact form.
• Site visitors completing our Refer to a Friend form.

Customer information gathered during a transaction in our web store is shared with our trusted credit card transaction processor, Stratapay. Your credit card information passes securely through their real time credit card payment gateway to the banking system to validate the transaction. The results of the transaction are returned to Avenues for Change. Your full credit card details are not stored.

Avenues for Change does break down overall usage statistics according to a customer's domain name and browser type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every customer's browser).

The email addresses of customers and people completing our contact form may be used for email messages and broadcasts sent to those people. Email addresses are not shared with any parties outside of Avenues for Change.

With our ‘refer to a friend’ form, the user of this form is given the option to go on our mailing list and if so will receive email messages as a subscriber. We do not place the person who they list as the referee on our mailing list.

The web site tracking information enables us to better tailor our content to customers' needs and to help us understand the demographics of our audience and measure the results of our marketing activities.

Avenues for Change stores visitor information securely in encrypted databases with its web host 1shopping cart.com and dynamic web hosts.com in secure databases.
